Amazing footage.
It’s moving to see people looking at the tributes at the cenotaph when the Great War only ended 5/6 years earlier. Then you see the young, happy looking kids who have no idea that in 15 years time they will be fighting and possibly dying in another terrible war.
When you look at the crowd scene one of those people could have been Jack The Rippers son or brother or sister. They might have lived next door to him. It would have been great to have been able to speak to them. I bet a few of them would have told you how Granny once bumped into a scary top-hatted figure.Regards
