In the 80s, there was a TV show called Friday the Thirteen The Series, with utterly no relation to the movie of the same name (they called it that to attract viewers who would think it was related).
Anyway, the show was about three people collecting antiques that had been cursed by the devil thanks to a relative/friend. One of these antiques was a scalpel which had "supposedly belonged to Jack the Ripper".
Needless to say, the thing was drafted back into killing people, as each cursed object had a supernatural gift to give its owner, but usually at the cost of murdering another person.
The episode was called Doctor Jack and I believe it was from Season One.
Just wanted to throw this out.
