The Crystal Palace columns meet a roof which looks ot have a mosaic pattern on it, which is unlike the one from the show, but very close.

Judging by the surroundings I should think it's somewhere in one of the Inns of Court.

Once again, I think ITV pulled off a good bit of Drama. Just dissapointed that they didn't actually use Mitre Square as the murder scene, but saying that, are there any shutters there.

I thought last nights episode was slightly better than the first one (which isn't saying much). Funniest line so far "Don't mess with the Masons". I agree with what has been said above concerning message board loonies and the negative portrayal of "Ripperologists". Keeping his Ripper study padlocked so mommy cannot see his depraved interest in the case. And what Ripperologist would really have to have all the different aspects of the case diagrammed on his wall, and all of the suspects' pictures tacked up there? Silly, and if I cared just a little bit more, I might feel insulted.

I'm glad to see Philip and Rob's book, but if you blink you would miss it. SYI seems to be the tome getting the most screen time.

If I had to guess now, I'd say that either the high-ranking mentor officer did it (the jerk), or it will go unsolved.

I have a picture of Robert D'Onston Stephenson near my computer, does this make me weird?

Do you still live in your mother's basement? Does she padlock you down there when she has company over?

Right, now I'm having second thoughts about taking a photo of me doing the podcast, lest my surroundings feed into some crazy-person stereotype. Better redecorate a bit first!

No, my mother found out a bout my weird obsessions, and I had to move out, just in case the Vicar came for tea!!

If anything, the TV show has made my wife show an interest in what I do, she knows now that it is nothing more than looking at history, although she was a looking at me a bit strange during the "Medical Pornography" bit!!

My boyfriend and i used to live in a flat in this converted Victorian church.
I wanted to paint the walls blood red and put up pictures of JTR victims, plus the small collection of Victorian clothes I own - a bonnet and a dress.

But my boyfriend was having none of it. The flat was creepy enough as it is.

                    Here it is:

[QUOTE=Bob Hinton;66623]I’m afraid episode two was a bit of a let down; with some rather silly mistakes being made.

For example any military barracks in Britain would in today’s terrorist climate be sealed tight, and our good old soldier boy nipping over the railings would stand a good chance of getting a quick burst of 5.56mm up his backside.

Actually as someone who grew up on bases and near barracks and has 2 huge ones near by I have to disagree with that one!!

I really enjoyed it again. This IS being made as ENTERTAINMENT for people who know nothing about the ripper.

I still can't quote people properly.

Also I know that my interest is a bit odd. I am not ashamed of it though. I got in to this when I was really young even doing a 'what I did with my holiday' all about a trip to the East End when I was 8. My Dad is a planespotter though.
