  • Lewis and Lewis

We have two Lewis witnesses in the MJK murder.

Has anyone tracked down if they were at all related?

I don't know but I bet someone does - Robert perhaps?
I won't always agree but I'll try not to be disagreeable.

I hope someone does, it's an itch that needs scratching.

I think he's is much too young. Wasn't Maurice Lewis an older guy? (or am I mixing him up with someone else?) He said he saw MJK at the pub, after her supposed death, right?

            Morris

Hello All. Any chance that "Maurice" was a mishearing of "Morris"?

            Cheers.

The late Chris Scott wrote an article for Ripperologist on the identity of Sarah Lewis:

In 1881 there is a tailor named Morris Lewis (it is given as both Maurice and Morris in the papers, Lynn.) aged 46 living Tenter Court, Spitalfields.

Thanks Debra I'm not sure if that Ripperologist didn't predate me I'll have a read.
