    Blotchy Man?

I was looking through some old Ripperana’s this afternoon and saw a photograph in #59 from January 2007 that I couldn’t remember seeing before (although logically I must have done) It’s a photograph of a man called Leonard Thornton who was apparently questioned by police in 1888 and suspected of being the man with the carroty moustache.

Im assuming that this guy has now been looked into and dismissed?

As I’m typing this I’m getting a vague ‘memory?’ Was this a guy that worked for McCarthy as a kind of hired muscle or am I getting him confused with someone else?

I think McCarthy's hired muscle may have been Henry Buckley? If there was a photo of him I'd love to see it.

This appears to be the doctor named as a suspect by his grandson: https://forum.casebook.org/forum/rip...pect-recovered

Cheers Sean, Henry Buckley was the guy I was thinking about. I can’t post the photo of Thornton at the moment. Someone is bound to have that particular copy of Ripperana though.
