Yes, the direction I was leaning towards was that in general the Coroner's Inquest will conclude by determining whether death was accidental, suicide, murder or misadventure. Any subsequent "identification of the murderer" is the purview of the police following the Inquest, not the Coroner's as part of the Inquest.

Thats evident in the Kelly Inquest to be sure Jon. It wrapped up in one day because no-one having seen the evidence would find her death by anything but homicide.

I think its fair to say that the murder of Stride could have fallen under a different category technically speaking,..I suppose accident or misadventure was possible there, though unlikely,... but none of the remaining 3 needed any super astute jury. Even with controversial witnesses like Malcolm and Maxwell.
