    Witness Interview

If you could interview and record ONE witness from the Jack The Ripper murders who would it be and why?

An excellent question, Geddy. For me, I think it would be Mrs. Fiddymont. I would want to know what she meant exactly when she said she stood in her doorway "off and on." Did she make a pot of tea at some point or go pee? Did she attend to her sick husband and numerous children? Did she have a clock in her home that she could see from her doorway etc.?

I think her responses could undermine Schwartz's testimony or show that she simply missed seeing Stride's murder.

George Hutchinson, because depending on how to look at it, he's either a witness, a suspect, or neither!

        George Hutchinson the sailor.
Pretty sure he was hired by Jack as a lookout.
        Not for a murder though.

Seeing as G. H. has already been chosen, the next most important witness is Sarah Lewis. In view of Hutchinson's story, Lewis could be questioned further in a more direct manner to describe in more detail who/what she saw in Dorset St.

Macnaghten. What was the secret information, or are you full of it.

Tumblety, why are you an *******.

Deeming, just so I can tell him what I really think of him.

Jack, who the f%|k are you?

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

John Richardson. What was really going on in that backyard, and did you really not see poor Annie Chapman?

Definitely John Richardson. All that business with the boot, the time & body are highly suspicious to me.

Any of the purported "53" witnesses who "purportedly" gave a statement to the police after the MJK debacle.
This unusual sum of witness statements was recorded in one newspaper article. (Lloyds weekly?)
My memory may be in err re which newspaper.

Schwartz. Just to find out how 'tipsy' the man was that he followed behind in Berner Street.

Hard to pick just one, either

PC Harvey did he go down church passage?
Did he see anyone leave before he got there?
                      Or
                      Swanson, the seaside home id.
                      Or
                      Head doctor from Colony Hatch.

                      On balance probably Swanson.

My Wife would like to interview Matthew Packer.

I would like to interview Caroline Maxwell. It bugs me how adamant she was about seeing MJK.
