It is, however, at least equally plausible that the doctor arrived in Bucks Row at about 4:00am. There is certainly nothing unreasonable in that suggestion and I fail to see how it is more or less reasonable than your wholly speculative opinion that it was at 4:10am.

. The Daily News tells us quite clearly that Llewellyn was called up by Thain at around 4 AM. "Called up" means called up from bed. Once Llewellyn woke, he had to get dressed (and he would not have used a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, but instead a victorian suit with lots of buttons, taking some time to get into). After that he would have to collect his bag, quite possibly checking it for contents, before he set off together with Thain to the murder spot.
