    Register of Murders Mepo 20/1

At the National Archives is a Metropolitan Police Record book of murders that occurred between 1891 and 1917 (the years 1910 and 1911 are not included in the book). The name of the book is 'Register of Murders' and the reference for it if anybody wants to look at it is Mepo 20/1.

This is the page for Francis Coles:

Thanks Bob, I can't really take the credit for it as the book was mentioned in Jonathan Oates 'Unsolved Murders in Victorian and Edwardian London'. I wasn't sure what it would contain so I thought I'd have a look at it.
