Another 3D effort to demonstrate the position of the left hand between MJK2 & MJK3.
Explaination:
I put the two photos side by side and positioned TWO cameras into the MJK2 & MJK3 positions.
I created a 3D render of the left hand based on MJK2 and positioned it as close as possible to the position of the left hand in the photo.
I added landmarks (coloured balls) to the 3D left hand.
When I was satisfied with the result of the 3D based on MJK2, I checked what it looked like from the MJK3 camera with MJK3 image in the background.
The results are set out here:
1) Look at the Blue, Orange and Cyan dots in MJK2 - that's the little finger curled under the hand.
2) Looked at the same dots on MJK3 - they line up.
3) looked at the shadowing on the little finger in the 4th image. From the cyan dot you will note that the little finger descends into shadow - as it does on the MJK3 photo.
4) the styloid processes and the shadow of the wrist all line up.
My opinion:
I am firmly of the opinion that we are seeing a left hand in MJK3 and when I created this 3D setup (below) I came to the conclusion that, IF MJK3 is a mock-up (or fake) of the MJK crime scene, then whoever was responsible got the left hand pretty much spot on in terms of positioning. The dots match up in both images.
2) The hand showing in MJK3 is the LEFT hand.
