    Mary Kelly facial reconstruction

Hello everyone! I'm a new member here! I've always been interested in history and fascinated with these women's lives.
I'm an amateur artist. I'll be uploading all drawings I've made recently of the five women. Here I have Mary Kelly.

Kelly's portrait, like all the other women, is based off of contemporary reports. I chose to go off of the Police Illustrated News. Her facial reconstruction is based off of what limited information one could gather, mainly going off the general shape and placement of features.

I tried to make her look youthful but worn down. It was an honest attempt. I just don't hope I made her too attractive.

Any constructive feedback would be welcomed.
All in all each illustration is based off of descriptions, contemporary witness reports and the police reports. Where appropriate I based their facial features off of their mortuary photographs.

    Thanks!

    Vinny

    Vincent,

Your art is stunning! Not to be overly sentimental, but it touches me at my heart. You've shown so much sensitivity and attention to detail.

I am also an amateur and will leave any historical critiques to others. For myself, I do have an impression of Mary from her crime scene photograph that she had a stronger cheek and jaw shape. For lack of a less glamorous comparison (I promise I'm not trying to Hollywoodify her!), a bit like Gene Tierney. But that is my idea/impression.

I'm off to admire the rest of your art. Thank you so much again for sharing!

      hi Vincent
Amazing! well done! I know you said its a drawing but looks like an oil painting. what is the medium you used?

Other than the whodunnit aspect of the case, the other main reason im interested is the lives of the women. Their humor, caring and humanity in such hard times and circs has always touched me. I think youve captured that beautifully.
