    All the best

I will give you a free copy Dave don't worry. The fifth victim just has a made up feel to it no facts and no attempt to prove author is related to Mary Kelly .Books like this cheapen the whole case also it's not fair that some authors take a lot of time and effort to research at a great cost to themselves and by doing so don't make as much as the ones who don't.Prime example the ripper diary( the book that no one has made any money out of by the way) appears on the scene the people involved bringing this to print admit to not been to sure it's genuine but let it be published any way.Stewart p Evans book about tumbelty comes out a short while after the diary the book is well researched and written and based on a genuine suspect .I wonder which author fared better financially the one who did it properly or the one who saw the glint of gold and went for a fast buck.Badly researched and written books harm this subject .

        update on book

In my opinion the book "the fifth victim "is made up.Surely to God if you were writing a book about jtr and claiming to be related to Mary Kelly then some proof of this would be nice.I'm going to check if amazon have "nonfiction" anywhere on this if so a refund will be asked and maybe an email to trading standards. Not often Im serious but books like this annoy me why should some authors have to spend time and money researching a book while others are allowed to make it up .

I think we should be entitled to a refund on this too. The marketing blurb is misrepresenting what this book is.

My immediate thought on seeing this book was "It will be a load of badly written tripe".

Clearly, I possess formidable psychic powers. My next prediction is that the film version is not only forthcoming, but shall also suck.

I wasn't really intending to purchase this book anyway, but thanks for the heads up, pinkmoon.

I do think books like this harm this subject some authors spend a lot of time and money researching their books which means they don't make as much money as people who don't.

                  Hi,
My advice to the author would be silence the critics if you can, by producing documentation that proves conclusively that the victim of Millers court is related as you say.
If the book is classified as a work of fiction and it is meant to be nothing other, I would still have reservations to the use of a personal involvement , as it would not allow newbies to the case to start on the right foot.
The Royal Doctor theory many years ago left an imprint in many a student of the case, and to this day one hears people say'' Jack the Ripper was a doctor , connected to the royal family was he not..?
We do not need some tale suggestion, that Kelly had a romance with a prominent doctor, with all the trimmings, it will do this case no good what so ever, and like Jason , I am mortified.
I have not read anything from the book, I hate prejudging , but I hope the author at least listens to the serious students of the case, and either makes it clear that is a entire work of fiction, or holds substance.
                  Regards Richard.

If the person who wrote this book was related to Mary Kelly then like Richard said some proof like a family tree would be nice. I dare the author( who obviously knows and has researched the ripper murders just like we all have)to join casebook under her real name the gauntlet in thrown down now come on love sign up to casebook and talk to us all
