Thanks for posting. That's a nice mug shot there, but according to the BBC's website, this person was prosecuted under aliases going into 1890, so I don't think she could be the dead person in the crime scene photograph.

Anybody know if the above photograph is included in Manchester... The Sinister Side by Steve Jones (Wicked Publications, 1997)? The article is credited to Steve Jones, and it's listed in the "find out more" link at the bottom of the page. Sounds like a good book.

i havnt read the ...sinister side book, but i do have when the lights whent down by wicked productions, i think she is in that book though.....

well maby mary kelly was'nt the body found in 13 millers court.......maby it was one of the many prostitutes who frequented mary's room? maby we are looking at our mary here, moved from london to manchester and changed her alias? she does look like the descriptions given of mary kelly.

It's best to post the source of a picture or item. These cases are confusing enough as they are.

Well, based on this link, which seems to be where the image comes from, this woman has an established history in Manchester both before and after the killings. This doesn't really fit with our Kelly's sketchy history in London from 1884 to her death in 1888. The site gives some references; If you can visit the museums named or find the books locally, I imagine you can get more by contacting the site author.

this mary davies also used the alias 'mary kelly' around 1888. seen as though MJK would be mary davies on her records because of her marrige, she would use aliases.
is this just a coincidence, two mary kelly's with similiar faces? or have i just found our elusive MJK?????

mary kelly was married to a mr. davies, so wouldnt she have used his name as an alias from time to time. afterall mary used alias alot.
i came across this photograph of a mary davies, and ill also post a pic of mary kelly's mutilated face.
