I can understand that there is such a risk involved, which is why I clarified my stance as much as I could. I am NOT referring to our original issue in this matter. But I was slightly amazed to have the argument put forward that I addressed. It very clearly seemed to advice me not to argue my case, since it would be of little use if the one I argued against would not leave his/hers original opinion, no matter what. Your wording was "Try to assess the likelihood of your opponent saying, "Oh yeah, I see your point, I retract everything and agree with you" at any stage", and since I thought you were conducting a principal discussion I offered my stance.
If, instead, you were speaking of the Kelly picture issue only, I have long since realized the quality of your suggestion to make the assessment you advice. If I read the wrong things into it all, I´m sorry.
At any rate, we are as much on focus in this thread as a polar bear in the Indian Ocean by now, Ben, and the sooner we leave it the better, I feel.
