McCarthy and Barnett - catholics or protestants?!

Hello you all!

This is the thing, I have been wondering: since both Joe Barnett and John McCarthy told MJK to have been a catholic, so;

Were they themselves catholics or protestants?!

I do know, that both of them had Irish origins, but how easy it was to notice/not notice the difference between the Irish pros and cats( ) at the time?!

Hi Jukka

I tend to look to how people were buried. We don't know about Joe, but McCarthy was buried in a Catholic cemetery, I believe. (I hope that's right anyhow).
