  • Here's a gross thought!

When I was reading the autopsy report of Mary Kelly and came to section pertaining to the contents of her stomach, a thought occurred to me...

Did the coroner examine the contents INSIDE poor Mary on the autopsy table, or do you guys think it was pretty clear what she ate on the spot, since her entrails were spread all over the room! One would probably just need to look around the remains to see what she ate, with no real autopsy required. Leave it to good ol' Jack to make the medical examiners' life easier. *shudders*

They weren't - they were found to the right of the body on the bed.

Bond's autopsy report specifically mentions that food was found "in the remains of the stomach attached to the intestines". It's clear that the stomach had remained sufficiently intact for food to have remained inside it until the detailed post mortem exam, which was carried out after the body had been removed from Miller's Court.
