Captain Hook said all I wanted to say about domestic murder! Don't forget that all the mutilations took place after death. There's no element of torture here.
I still don't know where I stand on Kelly. For a long time I thought she was a Ripper victim. Then I thought she was a domestic copy-cat victim. Now I just don't know. But I still believe--and I've always believed--that she could be both. Killed by the Ripper but for different, personal and more complex reasons than the other victims.
By the way, I agree with Sam. There are huge resonances between the Ripper and the Sutcliffe case.
