Because on the map it looks like quite a walk for somebody who's very drunk and who does so in about an hour (if I remember correctly)

That distance isn't too far to walk (I'm not sure exactly how far in Km it is) even if you are drunk. It's about 5 minutes sober (don't ask!).

Given there is about 1 hour between Nichols being seen on Whitechapel Road and the possible time of her death, it makes one wonder where she wandered during that hour. One would assume there may be a certain amount of standing about or going off the beaten track.

I find it unlikely that she would have gone straight from her meeting with Emily Holland to Buck's Row. But that of course is merely conjecture.

Apparently my sense of humour is too subtle for some of you. That The Grave Maurice is just around the corner was, of course, my point.

According to the 1873 Ordnance Survey Map there were ten PH`s on your left as you walked east from the corner of Osborn St to the top of Brady St (North St in 1873).
