When and how was it made public that Eddowes gave the fake name Mary Ann Kelly?

Police constable Roberts deposed that on Sunday night, at ten minutes to nine, before the murder, the deceased was lying on the footway in High-street, Aldgate, drunk, and surrounded by a crowd of people. He set her up against the shutters and she fell down again. He obtained assistance and conveyed her to he Bishopsgate police-station, when she was asked what her name was. She replied, "Nothing!" She was then wearing an apron which he identified as the one produced, a portion of which was found on the body and another portion in Goulston-street after the murder.

P.C. Bifield said he remembered the deceased being brought into the station on the Saturday night at about quarter to nine o'clock, drunk. She remained at the station until one o'clock in the morning and gave her name as being Mary Ann Kelly, of Fashion-street. Deceased told him she had been hopping in Kent.

This reminds me somewhat of the case with Konerak Sinthasomphone for Jeffrey Dahmer. The kid was drugged, and when Dahmer was away, the kid staggered out into the street and collapsed. He was returned to Dahmer who talked police and bystanders into Sinthasomphone being his drunk boyfriend.

Hypothethical: JtR is plying Eddowes with drink to become his next victim. Eddowes becomes too drunk to even walk and collapses. JtR has spent a lot of money on this failed attack. He hears he say her name is nothing to everyone who asks. She gets taken away. In a rage he heads off and does Stride and then turns back to where he was drinking with Eddowes heading towards the drunk tank and here comes nothing to put a hand on his chest and apologize for what happened. He tells her to think nothing of it and she can pay him back now.
