    Alice Aldam

Has anyone got any info regarding an attack on Alice Aldam, a woman from Whitechapel who is alleged to have been attacked by the Ripper? She was born Alice Wellstead in 1863.
    Best regards,
    Adam

Interestingly, the record of her birth in the last quarter of 1863 in Bethnal Green gives her surname as WELLSTEED:

            Hi, Jack,
I'm very surprised that no one has asked you about the family story about the incident.

            Would you please share?

            Thanks,

            Curious

P.S. I like to think I know women like your great-grandmother and perhaps might even be one.

P.P.S. If you prefer to e-mail me privately, that too would be ok. I'd just be very interested in hearing the story.
