  • Remarkably clear Photo enhancement of Liz Stride

Hello, First post here. I have recently been using Photo enhancement apps to improve some old pictures of my family. The results are astonishing. Knowing that the original negatives of the victims have been lost, I wondered what would happen if I used the technology to try to pull better quality images from the victims where appropriate. The first one I tried, ( that of Liz Stride) gave me astonishing clarity. You can even make out details such as skin pores and the fact that she has lace on her dress. So I present the result here for you to see.

Welcome indeed Addalime. I've saved a copy of your colourised version which is outstanding - ironically, it really brings Elizabeth back to life!

Without wishing to give you time-consuming work to do, whichever additional photographs you can subject to the same treatment would be hugely appreciated by - I'm sure - us all. For example, would you be able to do the Mary Kelly photograph this way?

          Many thanks,

          Ike

This is excellent. You can just make out the wound to her neck, very nasty. I am no expert but is that a chancre on her lip I wonder?
                Best wishes,

Seconded. I think the same treatment for the MJK picture would be fascinating. I have been unable to make head nor tail of that for years.
                  Best wishes,

                  Tristan

I will try something with the Mary Kelly photo. Does anyone have a better file size version than the ones currently on google search?

I have a file but unfortunately it is too large to upload here.
                        Best wishes,

Could you reduce the size just enough to post?

Its around 5MB and the limit is 2MB. Feel free to private message me your email address and I can send it over to you if you like?
