    Bugger!

I forgot to say that Diemshitz actually stated that the blood flowing from Stride had run up the yard AS FAR AS UP TO THE KITCHEN DOOR (the club entrance in the yard, that is).

    The best!

I asked the distance question to see if I could get a guage as to whether there would have been some sort of buffer zone distance wise so that Jack would have felt relatively safe to begin his mutilations. From the answers I got, that doesn't appear to be the case and I would have to think that Jack (if it were him) would have been most anxious if he could hear voices and a door opening or shutting. Couple that with those things we have previously discussed, the possibility of someone coming out to smoke, someone using the privy, people stopping to talk as they leave, and it would seem to make for a most uncomfortable environment. One best left behind in the search for greener pastures.

Correct, I think, c.d: If he was disturbed while at the body, and if that disturbance came from inside the yard, the only reasonable route would have been through the gates and away.
