Allow me to start by congratulating you on this thoughtful and compelling recreation. It’s clear a lot of care went into capturing the essence of the original illustration of Catherine Eddowes. That said, here are a few subtle differences in the facial features that set the recreation apart from the sketch:
The illustration presents a more angular jawline and pronounced cheekbones, likely enhanced by the artist for dramatic effect. The photograph features a softer, rounder face with natural contours.
The original has a more severe, rigid expression, possibly to reflect the somber context. In the recreation, while the expression is neutral, it comes across as more relaxed and approachable.
The sketch uses deep shading around the eyes to create a shadowed, tired appearance. In the photo, the eyes are naturally lit and appear more open and clear.
The eyebrows in the drawing are thinner and more sharply arched, while in the photo they’re fuller with a softer, natural shape.
The illustrated nose is a bit narrower and more pointed. The photograph captures a broader, more realistic nose structure.
The sketch shows thinner, tightly pressed lips, perhaps to suggest tension or solemnity. In the photo, the lips are slightly fuller and more relaxed.
Even with these differences, the overall effect is respectful and evocative. A very well done tribute.

Great stuff Richard.
The word that came to mind for me when comparing the sketch to the recreation is in the sketch she looks a bit malnourished. These are not clues, Fred.
It is not yarn leading us to the dark heart of this place.
They are half-glimpsed imaginings, tangle of shadows.
And you and I floundering at them in the ever vainer hope that we might corral them into meaning when we will not.
We will not.
