Why, on the 11th October, did the Coroner, as reported in The Times, 12th October, say, “There was nothing to suggest that either Conway or Kelly had anything to do with the murder, both of them seeming to be totally inoffensive men,” when Conway would not go to the police until 15th October to identify himself?

    Thoughts?

    Hi Simon.

Good question. There is a lot amiss about the whole Conway affair. Daughter Annie was in the east end a week prior to her mother's murder asking Eliza Gold (Kate's sister) if she had seen her mother. This is odd considering the whole family states they tried to avoid Kate.

Also, this press report may be of interest regarding your question about how long it took Conway to appear.

      Thanks Jerry,

The Eddowes/Conway/Kelly family sure were a shifty crowd.

      Regards,

      Simon

This was the East End, not Mr Rogers Neighborhood.

The ex of a murder victim goes into hiding , finds himself free of any suspicion due to his daughter stating he wasn't the cause of the family break up .
            Really ??
20 year old Thomas junior entered Southwark workhouse the day after his mother's identification was announced in the morning papers having not been in a workhouse for 9 years .
His elder sister Annie and younger brother George were both literate as shown by her marriage certificate and his army records.
It follows that he was too
Anyone who thinks the boys and Thomas senior weren't aware of the death of Kate by the 5th at the very latest needs to get real
