Hello Dixon. You might have a go at the 1888 telephone directory for Blackheath. Look for listings under "schoolmasters." (snicker!)
Cheers.

young vs old
Hello Sam. Well, 6 miles is a short walk for one who is young and good looking, like yourself. But a pain in the, um, legs for an old chap like me.
Cheers.

6 miles from Hanbury St to Blackheath, Lynn?
Edit: Just checked... and you're not too far off. Still, it's not "nearby" - not even by my young, good-looking (?) standards!Last edited by Sam Flynn; 10-08-2009, 12:51 AM.Kind regards, Sam Flynn

I had a thread many years ago about the Zodiacal Dawn which is the period of the year when the Chapman murder took place. Due to dust in space at this point in the Earth's orbit, especially on clear moonless nights, light can begin to appear on the eastern horizon as much a 4 hours before sunrise. This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.
