76 years of history covered in two posts!

Thanks Chris, I have a copy of his death cert.

I have also been trying to get his mother and fathers marriage certs and their entry in the marriage registry, a wild chase that has sent me to three locations but i believe i have the place in sight now and a visit will be made.

I also have RDS christening entry on the way too!
        Regards Mike

You probably already know this, but for the benefit of anyone who doesn't, 129 St John's Rd, Islington was a "euphemistic" address.

So, Mike, is this a new find? If so, congrats - is there a story to be told about the discovery? (Or have I missed it on another thread somewhere?) I guess this relates to your meeting with the descendants?

              Cheers,
              B.

I ordered the RDS birth certificate some time ago, and think I mentioned it on my blogg, as well as posting here. Although I have made contact with the descendants, I have yet to meet them, waiting until after I get rid of this awful "man-flu".

I also found a living descendant of the Hearfield family, Thomas Ward Hearfield was the family solicitor to the Stephenson's!!
                Regards Mike
