Next up is a full frontal of the Custom's House.
Note the Crest at the top of the building, it contains an anchor and the brick work is slightly different to the rest of the building.
Indicitve of a more recent addition to the frontage.

              Islington

No thread on the Stephenson family would be complete without maps of Hollingsworth Street North!
I had to cut the map in two to make it fit, hopefully there is some overlap.

                  Islington

Continuing the Islington Theme, here is Gibson Square, home to Richard Stephenson Jnr in the later years of his life.

With its wonderful square and fine house, the area is now a conservation project.

                    Back to Bridlington

Of course no mention of Bridlington is complete without mentioning the wonderful Dr Kelburne King. I went looking for the grave of the Dawber family and stumbled upon this. I say stumbled because if you look at how thick the vegitation is its a wonder I found anything!! Il include the pick in two as I couldnt stand far away enough without it being obscurred by a tree!!

                        Hi Mike,

Abberline married Emma Beament at St. John the Evangelist Church, Wembley, on Sunday, December 17, 1876.

Is St James's the church where he previously married Martha Mackness in 1868?

                        Regards,

                        Simon

The Clarence pub which up until 1987 was situated on Charles Street.
The pub had been there for many years but never recieved a licence until 1957.

First up, If Robert D'Onston Stephenson was a member of the Coastguard, as he say's he was, this is the outfit he would have worn, whilst out in the Humber.
