    Ah, the Crossminski theory! We should rewrite it to where Cross went across the road because he thought he saw a Georgian table-runner on the pavement.

      Which is in all fairness is just as plausible as the 'actual' story that is doing the rounds.

        It's quite weird that we are endeavouring to demonstrate the innocence of Charles Cross, when the only "evidence" against him has been manufactured by ignoring various known facts, with alleged faint possibilities or total inventions masquerading as truths.
