        Hi Fish,

My copy of Trow's Thames Torso Murders arrived today. Thanks for the recommendation. I skipped straight to the Pinchin Street and Cats' Meat Man chapters hoping to find some resonance with Lech. as JTR, but apart from the Pinchin Street connection I couldn't find any.

No doubt all will become clear when the Lech. 'Magnum Opus ' surfaces.

Fish's brother in law and Lechmere's milkman should waste no time to register and vote. Their butchers as well : clearly the future of humanity is at steak.

Once the cat's meat connection is revealed you'll all be queuing up to vote for Lech.

I 'd steak my granny on it!

                    Hi DVV,

Sadly both my grannies are long dead. But they both lived in the East End and both loved cats, so they would have instantly cottoned on to the sheer brilliance of Trow's cats' meat theory, which, unless I'm mistaken, is this: a pile of pre boiled horse meat is the perfect place to conceal a severed human head.

I can sense you reaching for the Lech. button already!

Yes, B. Lechmere-the-poster and Lechmere-the-ripper are one and the same. And Fish is the alias of John Netley.

Then it's even nicer to refer to them.
Sorry for the joke I made, I didn't know.

                        Cheers

                          DVV,

Both died a long time ago, savaged by bloody wildfowl!

Seriously, no probs re granny humour. Appreciate your sensitivity though.

Assume you are a Flemingian, how 's that going?

When the magnus opus appears you can put a hefty portion of entrecote, entre a point et bien cuit on Lechmere going up the ratings - dix points.

What's that? Crossmere in the Eurovision? Now that I can believe.
