Day of death: 6th december (1935)
    Place of death: Bispebjerg Hospital

      Excellent Kattrup!

I wouldn't have thought to look for him as Grant but the birth in Ireland seems to support it being him. He just pipped wife Elizabeth to the post. Interestingly she was described as a widow in probate records in the UK.

Well done, Kattrup! I think that's 'arteriosclerosis.' Looks like he had prostate and heart trouble.

I found him in the probate records registry, but the records for 1935 are not online.

                https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/bill...51279,37970950

                About halfway down the page:

Grant, Charles. Widower, former language teacher ----1-217-3W

So there's the reference to finding the actual probate records, but it will necessitate visiting the National Archives' reading room.

It would be interesting to see the probate. Widower and divorced? He was a strange man - unless he remarried.

                      Excellent reasearch!
I'm constantly amazed at just how much information is still out there.
