    I think it will be difficult to be sure it was just a coincidence, because any inside knowledge might not have amounted to anything more than the surname (which might also explain why Harrison would not have thought it worth mentioning when he wrote his own Ripper book, because by then the Aberconway description of Kosminski had already been published).

      The Inspector Kozminski novels were published under the name Quentin Downes, which was a pseudonym of Michael Harrison.
