    Kosminkski in court

I watched the second half of Channel 5's documentary on the Ripper which I enjoyed even though it had very poor green screen compositing ;-)

I didn't know Kosminksi had been in court about not having his dog muzzled. When was this determined? (I've spent a few years in the wilderness away from Ripper thoughts...)

You can find the details here. The first report of this case was discovered by Robert Linford in December 2007:

        research

        Hello Dr.

"I wonder what else languishes in some newspaper archive...?"

What indeed! Should you have the time and inclination to pursue such matters, PM me. I have many period papers downloaded as well as access to many more.

        Cheers.

I love going through old newspapers! I'm a Titanic buff and the amount of stuff you'd find in them is incredible. Not just old newspapers, but things like Lloyd's Weekly Shipping Index. I'm off to Greenwich next week to complete some research on shipping movements, so I expect to have very sore eyes when I have finished!

What newspapers do you have access to? I'd love to help if I can. Being unemployed, and probably unemployable, I'd like to help if I can!
