I think we should bear in mind though that despite stereotyping that would lump all Jews in together, the Jews then and now are hardly a monolithic entity, and there are many religious and secular divisions among Jews. In this sense, the recent child murder in Brooklyn brought out some interesting reflections on the Jewish community. See
