Cottage Lane where James Kelly murdered his wife Sarah in 1883. Almost directly across City Road from where St. Matthews church once stood. The church was destroyed in 1940.

I located the word Cottage. Printed on the other side of the street intersection is the word Place. So I'm not sure if this is Cottage Lane or not. It seems right.

It is at a boundary between two sections of the map.

Thanks for this link - this is, by far, the coolest resource I've seen online in ages and soooo interesting to read.

After reading the trial pages I'm even more suspicious of Kelly as a most likely suspect for Jack the Ripper.
