More news this morning....
It seems that other murders may well turn out to have been committed by Restivo.
He came to Bournemouth in 2002, and in the same year a foreign student,
Jong Ok-Shin (Oki), was murdered, three streets away from where Restivo was living.
She was stabbed three times, outside, as she walked home after an evening out. Someone else was convicted of her murder (and is in prison). However,
this murder was before Elisa's body was found, and before the killing of Heather Barnett. A clump of cut hair was found near Oki's body, and we now know that if the MO was different, the 'signature' is Restivos.
Oki was murdered on July 12th, Elisa on September 12th and Heather on November the 12th.
The Police now believe that this isn't a coincidence, and the killer had a fetish about the dates.
I remind you that Restivo was following the case of a woman who disappeared in Italy on his computer..I don't know the date yet.
So now we have not only a woman killed upstairs in a building with multiple stab wounds (two different blades), a woman with missing keys killed and mutilated in her own home, but possibly a random victim killed on the street with a knife...close to the killer's home (? if he did it) between the two...and a regularity in the time of month.
