I'm not sure if it's just sleep deprivation, but for some reason this caused me to burst out laughing!

It’s nothing to do with naysaying, it’s about the fact that beards aren’t permanent. You can grow one or shave one off. If a potential crime suspect was seen wearing glasses then someone was suggested as a suspect two years later but he now wears glasses, would you eliminate him on the grounds that ‘well if he wore glasses in 2024 he must have worn them in 2022’?

You can eliminate who you like of course. It’s your personal opinion.

This thread reminds me of a beard...

                  How to grow a beard

                  "Don’t shave.

                  Wait.

When you start getting a spotty, weird, sh!tty stubble beard, don’t shave. Then wait.

Then, when it starts looking more uneven and spotty and it also possibly starts itching, don’t shave. Also, wait.

When people start asking if you are having problems or you lost your job or are depressed, don’t shave. Wait.

When you start worrying if this will ever work out, don’t shave. Wait more.

Do not try to shave a bit to correct it or make it even or stuff like that. Just don’t shave. Oh — and wait.

When you feel that you look like a homeless person, don’t shave.

When you feel like a homeless person with a full proper pirate beard, perhaps after two months or so, go to a barber and have your beard trimmed proper.

                  Voila.

There is only one single trick to growing a beard, but I guess you got it by now:

                  Don’t shave. And wait"

So can you enlighten us as to why you chose to present this photo in relation to the James Sadler involved in the murder of Frances Coles?

I'd say George Chapman's facial appendage is quite clearly a moustache.

Granted it's a BIG one, but there is clearly skin visible on his chin.

                              Hi RD,

Based on my avatar, am I eliminated? - Spoiler alert - since I started collecting vintage straight razors, I have only a moustache.

                              Cheers, George
