Can we come up with a list of things that seem to be pretty much agreed upon about the killer? For example, if there's a consensus that the Ripper had a "carroty" or reddish mustache; or his general height; or anything else, physical or not. Just some generally agreed upon 'facts' if you will about him, his physical appearance, psyche and possible occupation and residence.

Attempting to pin the murders of the canonical five victims on only one man could keep people guessing for over a century. The idea of one serial killer might be a confounding red herring.
Each murder should be taken on the merits of the evidence in the individual case.

Well at least we can all agree on that!!! What a relief.

Why not go for it.I am throwing my hat in the ring. I am going to make a few suggestions.
He was aged between 25 and 35.
He was average height between 5.6 and 5.8 no one taller was seen with the victims
He was local, due to his familiarity with passages and backstreets.
He was effective and silent, wore soft soled shoes as no one ever heard him.
He was ordinary looking, an average working class joe who blended in with everyone else and did not strike the working girls as' odd'
He did not rush around in carriages wearing top hats and capes
He did not brandish large knives threateningly or walk around dripping in blood.
He did not appear mad. The press then had a very melodramatic version of madness. A beserker rather than a quiet psycopath
One of the men seen with the victims may have been the ripper, but which one?
Cheers Miss Marple
