      link

      Hello Jon. Thanks.

Could be. Was that in the report?

It could also be no link to Piggott nor yet JI. Just an over active imagination.

      Cheers.

        Reformed Jewish butcher

        Hello Martin. Thanks.

Hmm, not a good many Jewish people would condescend to butcher a pig?

        Cheers.

Could be an over active imagination, but someone bit Piggot`s hand in Hanbury Street that morning.

            story

            Hello Jon. Thanks.

So his story ran--as I understand it. (Hope he wasn't feeding someone. heh-heh)

            Cheers.

One of my favourite Ripperologists, JG Simons, covered it all in an amazing article in the Rip. He even sourced a photo of the police surgeon who treated Piggot`s hand.

Apparently, he thought he was feeding a sheep.

Cute. I'll see if it's in an issue I have.

Sheep are not noted as carnivores.

                Cheers.

It might have been a warning nibble, Lynn.

                    "No," he said, sheepishly.

                    Hello Jon. Thanks.

                    Bah.

                    Cheers.

                      Profuse apologies.
I got over excited thinking I had found a connection to JI, and why Levy gave the reporter the impression he knew something but wasn't telling 'Hence he assumes a knowing air'.
It's still possible I suppose that Levy knew who the man with Eddowes was, he was a butcher, although not a pork one.
John seems a bit young at 19 to be mistaken for 30-35, but those broad shoulders led me to think who was most likely to resemble JI, and his son seemed a fair candidate.
                      Back to the drawing board.
                      All the best.
