    genius

Hello Corey. Well, I think the creator of the "Double Event" was a genius. How else could he have conceived a plot around "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion"?

    Cheers.

      Hello Lynn,

No, not created, a failure followed by a more sucessful murder perhaps.

What are the Elders of Zion?
      Washington Irving:

"To a homeless man, who has no spot on this wide world which he can truly call his own, there is a momentary feeling of something like independence and territorial consequence, when, after a weary day's travel, he kicks off his boots, thrusts his feet into slippers, and stretches himself before an inn fire. Let the world without go as it may; let kingdoms rise and fall, so long as he has the wherewithal to pay his bills, he is, for the time being, the very monarch of all he surveys. The arm chair in his throne; the poker his sceptre, and the little parlour of some twelve feet square, his undisputed empire. "

          MO

          Hello Garza.

"Serial killers have been known to change their MO"

Indeed they have. But notice, one has a single serial killer based on similarity of method. Now, when a dissimilarity is found, one says, "Ah! But the MO changed." But whence then the original identification of sameness? That's like having your cake and eating it.

In the C5, there are similarities; there are differences. The similarities are not great enough to produce the certainty of a single hand; nor, are the dissimilarities enough to rule it out. What is REALLY needed is a paradigm to give a possible explanation for what happened.

          Cheers.

            Hello Garza,

No, It was directed to anyone reading. I was hoping my essay would finally grant clarity with the changable MO topic, and some others. Plus I think I provided enough similarities to connect the murders. In my opinion that is.

              Protocols

Hello Corey. "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" is a pseudo Jewish work, attributed to a certain Golovinsky--an associate and employee of Pyotr Rachkovski. It was designed to portray Jews in a VERY unfavourable light. It was finally exposed by scholars as a forgery and NOT really authored by Jews as it was purported to be.

              Cheers.

                  link

Hello Corey. Here is a link that you may find interesting. It seems to have an analogous inspiration to the "Double Event." Be sure to read the section on the "Protocols."

                  Cheers.

Protocols of the Elders of Zion

                    Hey Cory,

If you really develop even a passing interest in this notorious fraud, you should read Norman Cohn's great work: Warrant for Genocide: a History of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Cohn was a great scholar, and his work is well researched, fascinating, and well written. It is the source to begin with if you have any interest in this influential but infamously destructive forgery.

Sorry for this intrusion on the current thread.

                    Best Wishes, Mike

I should think it is VERY important. Then one can assess the reliability of the witness.

"The fact that 2 top police officials reported it makes Kosminski a far better suspect than all the other violent lunatics out there."

Perhaps, given you wish not to discuss the witness, you could discuss these 2 top officials? The only 2 of which we are aware who even mention his name are:

                      1. Swanson.

                      2. Sir MLM.

Of these 2, the latter dismisses him in favour of Druitt. The former (in the marginalia) never explicitly endorses him, but rather seems to disambiguate the story of his candidacy. (Make of that what you will.)

By the way, where is the evidence that AK was violent? I have yet to see that.

                      Cheers.

Kosminski's sister would have told you differently.

                        devious mind

Hello D'Onston. No intrusion at all.

Please permit me to ask, do you think that a devious mind which could hatch such anti-Semitic trash could also devise a "Double Event"?

                        Cheers.

                          threat/execution

Hello Jason. AK's "threat" does not add up to an execution thereof.

                          Cheers.

                            trash

Lynn, That The Protocols of Zion are anti-Semitic trash is a given I believe though, the author who was working for the Tsarist Okrana at the time, could indeed have been smart enough to arrange the double event.

                              Lynn, Yankee,

Why would such an individual conspire to arrange the double event?

                                reason

Hello Jason. You might wish to have a go at Butterworth in this regard. The Okhrana's alarm at the proliferation of Russian Jewish Socialists is what prompted Rachkovski and Milevsky to set up their London office in 1888.

The idea is that, if there was a popular reaction to Jews/Socialists (brought on by "misbehaviour"), Britain might rethink her stance towards granting refuge to these people.

There is much in my "Kaufmann" thread that you might find helpful here. In particular, Arnold White's discussion of a popular "Juden hetze" I think, shows what would drive engineering something like a "Double Event."

                                Cheers.
