Just a quick question, and apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere before: Does anyone know whether Jacob Levy and Joseph Hyam Levy are related to each other in any way?

Yes there were father and son.

They weren't father and son, they were cousins.

Jacob's father was Joseph Levy
Joseph's (the witness) father was called Hyam Levy

Hyam Levy and Joseph Levy were brothers.

It can get confusing
