In the Coles case, do you consider Sadler a serious, possible, barely viable or patently unviable suspect ?

I would have liked one higher possibility in your poll, David. In my opinion he dunnit, no question.

I tend to agree, GM. Should have said "a most serious suspect", and although I've gone for "a possible suspect", I started this thread to see if this case can be solved - Sadler being the only suspect against whom we may possess enough evidence.

What does incriminate him most ? (him having a motive? circumstances ? both?)

What did save him ?

A good lawyer, paid for by his union.

His motive was that he believed Coles had colluded in his being beaten and robbed.

...I admit that such a motive would readily prompt a violent and drunk guy to kill...
