    James Monro's suspect

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum and its good to know that there is a central place for the exchange of information and ideas about this interesting case.

I was curious to know if anyone has any additional information about James Monro's suspicions about the killer. He may have well known more about the case than most and I suspect that his suspicions would be very worthy of further investigation.

    Thanks.

Personally, I think Monro's "hot potato" was none other than Tumblety.

That may well be the case but I guess what I am asking is whether anyone happens to have done any additional research in the area of following up this line of enquiry. If not, it might be a good direction to head...

I believe that Monro left some papers with his children. Maybe they were passed down?

Without wanting to change the topic the biggest problem with Tumblety as a suspect in my view is that he was far too tall if we are to believe the witness statements such as Lawende's....
