FAO Chris Scott - Fleming burial records

    Hi Chris,

I notice you made an enquiry on JTRforums (which I WILL get off my arse and register for eventually!) about Fleming's burial location. Fleming is buried in section B9 of Mount Chingford Cemetery, just a few feet away (perhaps 20?) from the Kray brothers. His specific location is noted as C/R 10550, and a map was provided which enabled me to pinpoint it when I visited. Unfortunately, there is no headstone, but for some reason he is buried right in amongst the war dead from WW1.

    Hope this helps,

    Ben

Here's a Findagrave photo of the location (I've sadly mislaid the ones I took):

If you look at the two slightly isolated war graves to the centre-left of the picture, Fleming is to the immediate right of these in an unmarked grave. The Kray plot is just about visible in the trees behind.

His grave looks much longer than the others.

Thanks...makes me hope that he was dead before they buried him. I mean, so many other mistakes.

                  Hi Fish
                  yes, nice one from Mike.
Now I wonder how Ben managed to locate that grave.
I mean : in France for instance, such a poor loony would have been thrown in a "fosse commune".
