The inference you have drawn from what Macnaghten wrote is that it was hearsay. You don’t know what information Macnaghten had, so you don’t know whether it was hearsay or not, and even if it was hearsay, that doesn’t mean it was incorrect, and you are guessing that he based anything on old profiles of the killer. These arguments are worthless unless supported by evidence, and you simply don't have any.
