Hi gut,Williams testimony does seem to point the finger at montys dismissal the reason for his suicide but we only have Williams word he was dismissed.

I would so much like to know more about MJD's life at the school. Including his dismissal.

Hi gut,I don't think Monty was dismissed I think he resigned hence the fact he was paid.If william did know or suspect that his brother was our killer he might have played up the losing of his job as reason for suicide he also had no problem letting the court know about mother been in the aslylum now wouldn't you want to keep that quite unless you were trying to cover up something much worse up.

I'm not sure how mu8ch of the money he had was from the school. I tend to think 50 pound was a huge severance pay for someone who was probably on only about 120 per year. The 16 pound may have been from Valentine, but some reports have it as a cheque and some have it as gold.
