    Or is the memorandum the only reason his name is well known?

    They had Farquaharson’s letter in 1891. A researcher might have linked Druitt to the insane English Doctor who committed suicide in the Thames mentioned by Major Arthur Griffiths in 1898 and later confirmed by Sim’s. Sir John Moylan stated that the ripper committed suicide after the last murder so a researcher, looking for a Thames suicide after November 9th...Or any researcher looking for a reason for the apparent cessation of the murders after Kelly would have considered suicide as a possible reason.

    The fact is though that he was mentioned in the Memorandum.
