Sounds like you've been doin' the do already there, brother Johnson.

I can't help you with the Ten Bells,buddy....its a little too far outta my area as I live in the USA, but if you go there, I'm sure you will find someone to share some Ripper related chat with. Have a good time and here's a tip for you to ward off the aftereffects :eat something with Vitamin C while you toss 'em back. You don't wanna look like this dude tomorrow:

Actually, that is indeed what is encouraging! And particularly encouraging is the ease with which I obtained this information.

PS - A reminder that several of these photos lay forgotten for years in the basement of the Winchester public library and were only handed over to the college archives recently. So those photos would not have been available in the past.

          Ten Bells

You're on the wrong thread, son. We used to have a Ten Bells thread, but it seems to have disappeared. For want of anything better, you might post on this one.

Anyway, while we're here, I might say that the experience you have in the Ten Bells seems to depend on the day you go there. On my first visit, it was called the Jack the Ripper, and I had a great time. Since the name re-change, some times the barman has been friendly and, other times, surly. The last time I was there, the place was full of suits from the City and I beat a hasty retreat. You pays yer money, and you takes yer chances.
