Debra Arif uncovered reports that she was admitted to Whitechapel infirmary twice, once in March 1887 for a contusion in one or both hips, and another time in December 1887 after she suffered head & chest injuries from an assault.

She was a fellow lodger of Emma Smith at 18 George Street and testified at her inquest. On the day that Emma Smith was attacked, Malvina had been approached by two men, one distracted her and another punched her in the mouth. She retreated back to the lodging house, and on her way she saw Smith talking to a man dressed in black wearing a white scarf.

Please feel free to correct me, anyone.
