    Surely if Bury wrote any of the Ripper letters that strengthens the case for him being the Ripper substantially?

        There are dozens of Ripper letters. Most of them are hoaxes, possibly all of them. Every identified letter writer was a hoaxer. If Bury, or anyone else, can be proven to have written any of the letters, it only strengthens case against them slightly.

        And in Bury's case, I don't think we have enough samples of his writing to make a proper comparison with any of the Ripper letters.
