    Paul Harrison

    Hi all

    I
s this Paul Harrison the same bloke who wrote Jack the Ripper The Mystery Solved in the early 90s?

I note that they’re both described as ex Northampton policeman…

Yes it is. It’s a Joseph Barnett suspect book and he researched and wrote about the wrong Joseph Barnett.

It comes to something when even Peter Sutcliffe calls you a "wazzock".

So he gets exposed and decided to blame everyone but himself?

As it has been withdrawn from sale by the publisher, it could be rare and collectable. You should maybe spare it from the flames for a while.

There's one (used) copy on Amazon priced at £180.
                Kind regards, Sam Flynn

I actually meant Harrison's latest, which his publisher has withdrawn from sale and therefore may have a rarity value in the future. Loretta has a copy or two of Harrison's Ripper book for a few pounds. Why the seller on Amazon wants £180 is beyond me. Ot Loretta is underpinning her copy.

Perhaps this copy is the one with the right Joe Barnett in it

                          Thanks JM.

Indeed, I’ve never bothered to read it.

But Bruce Paley’s book was one of my earliest JtR purchases.

                              Nah.

They were holed up in The Southern Cross Hotel in June 1964 when they played Melbourne.
